As Syrian authorities continue to crack down on anti-government protests, many of those injured by security forces are fleeing to neighbouring Jordan to seek medical help.

They say it is far too dangerous for them to be treated in hospitals in their home country.

Amnesty International, the London-based rights group, recently issued a report accusing the Syrian government of allowing the security forces to target and torture injured people inside the country's public hospitals.

Al Jazeera's Nisreen el Shamayleh reports from Amman in neighbouring Jordan.
