Argentina is preparing for a its presidential election on Sunday. Current President Cristina Kirchner and widow of ex-president Nestor Kirchner, credited for pulling the country out of its 2001 financial crisis, is expected to be re-elected.
Cristina was a student and political activist in the 1970's and now has the support of many young idealists. Unlike youth unrest in other parts of the world, young Argentinians say the Kirchners supported the interests of the people and have unmasked the real economic powers in the country, within the government.
