With rival Apple boasting 4 million units of their new iPhone 4S sold in one week, Samsung and Google unveiled their new Nexus S smart phone in Japan.
Though Google's Android-enabled phones account for 43 per cent of the global smart phone market, Apple, with 18 per cent of the global market reported 6 billion dollars in revenue from their iOS devices.
With 108 million units sold in the second quarter of 2011, Apple and Google are both hoping that their new devices powered with iOS 5 and the Icre Cream Sandwich operating systems will give them an edge in the growing smart phone market.
