There were some scary moments for local commuters in Silver Spring, Maryland when their ride-on bus crashed through a house. Everyone on board survived, however five of the passengers were taken to the hospital for minor injuries, and 4 were treated at the accident scene. The ride on bus was reportedly turning a corner when it hit a parked taxi and then smashed into the residential home.

The bus drove through the front porch and front side of the house. The home was occupied by two people at the time of the accident, but they were uninjured. Although the circumstances of the crash are unclear at this time, police officials state that an investigation is underway.

Earlier this summer, a similar report surfaced. Eight people were injured after a taxi cab hit a Staples store in Greenwich Village. The cab driver lost control after a motorist cut him off, resulting in the taxi running through the store front window and coming to an abrupt stop inside the building.
