I am not a super audio expert, but I know the basics (highs, mids, lows, bass and treble). Last year I bought the Beats by Dr. Dre Solo HD's Red and they broke. These made me change my opinion on Dr. Dre headphones. When I got these SOL Republic headphones there was no going back. These are such a great buy its almost like a steal compared to other headphones. The highs are amazing with hard PUNCHY bass, not distorted bass such as the one on the Solo HD's. The mids are good and the lows are amazing as well the treble and the bass fit nicely with the vocals and it creates a awesome sounding headphone. What I didn't like about these SOL Republic headphones was the cable. It is tangle free, tough and gold plated but the wire splits into two. It doesn't bother me much but that is the only thing that concerns me. The customization with these headphones are great you can customize with Colorware just type Colorware SOL Republics into google and it will show great ranges of colours and custom features. I can not wait until SOL makes a over-ear headphone. Just like these I will definitely buy them. I give these headphones a 5/5 they are perfect for everything and very stylish too. Just a tip if you choose to get the black ones they catch a lot of finger prints so just for a reference towards the SOL Republic Tracks HD's. Trust me when you get these you will not regret it. Beats by Dr. Dre are way to over priced and do not deliver clear and crisp sound. I recommend these headphones for dubstep, electric, house, rap, hip hop, techno and some rock due to them being pretty bass heavy.
