A 24-year-old man from Iowa has left law enforcement and medical personnel stunned. Justin Clark was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated after an incident on July 29th.

Local residents witnessed Clark “all over the road”; at one point driving onto someone’s yard and smashing curbs. Police arrived at the scene to see Clark in his vehicle, revving the motor and unable to even stand or walk for officers to conduct tests.

Clark told police he thought he was at home and when asked to name the day of the week, he replied “Three, but now it is four”. Iowa’s blood alcohol limit for driving is .08, but an initial breathalyzer revealed Clark’s level was .486 percent and additional tests at the hospital were even higher at .627 percent.

The shocking fact is that he survived considering levels of 0.30 to 0.39 can cause death. A medical official says of Clark’s extreme level, “That's astronomically high and the highest I've ever heard of.”
