An Al Jazeera investigation has found evidence that Bahrain's security forces are torturing medical workers to force criminal confessions.

Since anti-government protests erupted in February, doctors and nurses have been targeted, with hundreds facing arrest.

Forty-seven health workers have been charged since protests began - 24 doctors and 23 nurses - and 150 more are under investigation by the government.

Charles Stratford has the second in our series of exclusive reports from Bahrain.
