Jade Jones hopes she he has inspired more youngsters to take up taekwondo by winning Great Britain's first ever Olympic gold in the sport.
The 19-year-old became Team GB’s youngest Olympic champion at London 2012 with her victory over China’s Yuzhuo Hou in the -57kg final on Thursday.
"It is amazing, it just shows that taekwondo in Great Britain is getting bigger and better," she said.
"Taekwondo is a low-key sport so hopefully this will but it on the map a bit more for Great Britain and we get more people involved in it."
