Nancy Pelosi has a whopper of a ghost story. The former House speaker has spoken on a number of occasions about the time spirits of suffragists visited her in the White House.
According to Pelosi, she was at the White House to meet President George W Bush. As she sat in her chair, she began to feel "crowded in."
"And then I realized Susan B. Anthony, Elizabeth Cady Stanton, Lucretia Mott, Alice Paul, Sojourner Truth, you name it, they were all in that chair, they were. More than I named and I could hear them say: 'At last we have a seat at the table.' And then they were gone."
