Hundreds of fans queued up at Central London's Sorting Office for a secret gig by DJ David Guetta.

The French superstar was in town to film the video to new single "Metropolis" - using the warehouse rave as a backdrop.

It's the first track to be published under his new independent label Jack Back Records and Guetta says it marks a return to his rave roots.

"This place yes is kind of underground. But you know this is where I'm coming from and of course you know my music is crossing over now and I'm blessed with a lot of success and I love it, but I don't forget where I'm coming from."

Famous worldwide with hits like "Titanium" and "Getting Over You", this time Guetta's teamed up with fellow Frenchman Thierry Guetta.

The street artist also known as Mr Brainwash made his name in the 2010 Bansky-directed film "'Exit Through The Giftshop".

He may share the same name as David, but it wasn't until then that the DJ knew who he was.

SOUNDBITE: David Guetta, DJ, saying (English):

"It's funny cause I met him, he was following me everywhere. And I was like 'who is this crazy guy that is following me? Then like ten years later I saw his movie about street art. I thought it was really really amazing, asking really interesting questions about art and what art is."

This is to be the first music video Thierry's directed.

SOUNDBITE: David Guetta, DJ, saying (English):

"I don't know what's gonna happen tonight. I have no idea, I don't know if the video is gonna be amazing or terrible, but it's gonna be fun. That's for sure"

And this is what it's gonna look like - David Guetta hoping the video help introduce street art to a new audience.

Filmed in the same venue as Mr Brainwash's first major European street art show - the video also features material he's collected over the years.

The exhibition opens to the public later this week.
