Julian Lennon - Too Late For Goodbyes

I've always had a bit of a soft spot for Julian Lennon, son of John, seemingly the forgotten son. He is often in the shadows, while his (much more popular) half-brother Sean is in the spotlight. Julian has been heavily criticised (unfairly, in my opinion) as sounding "too much" like his father - which is perhaps where the criticism comes from. It would be hard enough being the son of John Lennon, and being constantly compared to him; one imagines it would be doubly hard when one sounds just like him. (The physical resemblance is striking, too.) While Julian's career has not been nearly as prolific as Sean's, he has penned some lovely tunes. Here, my favourite track from his album 'Valotte', an album full of pleasant 1980s pop.
