Kitten Found With Mouth Glued Shut - as part of the news series by GeoBeats.

Even if you’re not a diehard cat lover, cases of pet cruelty can pull at most heartstrings. An employee working the night shift at a Shell garage in Peterlee, England came across a sad sight. A five-month-old black kitten, wearing a pink collar, was discovered on the grounds with its mouth intentionally glued shut. The kitty also had glue on its paws, leading the female worker to call police and the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. She also contacted the Clifton Lodge veterinary practice where the pet now resides. A veterinarian was able to remove the glue without sedation methods and says the cat is fortunate to have survived. Law enforcement is probing into the incident with a police official stating “This was a despicable act on a defenseless animal and we are conducting a joint investigation to find the person responsible”.

Last year, a Hartford, Connecticut woman came across a kitten under similar, horrific circumstances. She found a 9-week-old kitten outside her apartment building with its mouth glued closed. The stray kitty, now named ‘Lucky’ was brought to a local animal shelter for treatment and then placed in a foster home.
