In response to the 2010 floods that swept across Pakistan, ACTED launched a large scale multi-sector humanitarian response in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab and Sindh provinces. ACTED’s response to this emergency included building shelters, providing safe drinking water, installing latrines, promoting hygiene, and developing household farming. These activities improved food security and health, and helped people recover alone with ways to meet their own needs. ACTED continues to work with these vulnerable communities two years on from the disaster.
