Colombian Farc hostage freed after 12 years official

The Colombian president has met the sole survivor of a botched rescue attempt that ended with the deaths of four other hostages.

Juan Manual Santos described the police sergeant as a national hero.

But families of the victims had much harsher words for the government and its handling of the mission.
