The Panagbenga Festival in Baguio City, Philippines is one of most outstanding processions of all time. Held in February, it is awash with flowers, dancers and bands, each wearing distintive costumes making it the most colourful spectacle from the friendliest of all nations in the world.

I was astounded on both days. This was one of the highlights of my third visit to the Philippines, a one in which I will treasure for always.

Day one lasts for approximately one hour and the second day for about three hours. Day two is the main spectacle, with floats completely covered in flowers of all colours and shapes and accompanied by musical bands of all ages playing various well known songs and tunes.

Take my word for it - it was astounding to say the least.
