Dress Like a Cow, Get a Free Meal - as part of the news series by GeoBeats.
Chick-fil-A restaurants will be celebrating Cow Appreciation Day on July 13. The chicken food chain will be offering free meals or entrees at more than 1,600 restaurants to customers showcasing cow-like costumes. Customers have their choice of a breakfast, lunch or dinner meal at no charge if they are fully decked out as a cow, ‘head to hoof’. For the less outgoing crowd, entrees will be provided, so long as ‘partial cow attire’ is worn.
The website boasts a ‘Best Cow Costume Contest’, allowing participants to win prizes including a $100 Chick-fil-A gift card or a catered party. Using the restaurant’s iPhone app, patrons can submit pictures of their costumes and the restaurant will choose winners under 3 categories: ‘Cow’, ‘Calves’ and ‘Herd’ depending on age. The restaurant chain likes to have fun with their customers. Recently, a Georgia Chick-fil-A celebrated National Chicken Dance Day by offering free sandwiches to folks who would perform the slightly embarrassing moves.
What do you think - can you dress as a cow for a free meal?
