Benedict Cumberbatch's 'Star Trek 2' Role Revealed? Details coming your way!
According to sfx----At a promotional junket for Dredd, Karl Urban might have slipped on who Benedict Cumberbatch is playing in the Star Trek sequel. Here is what urban said, "He's awesome, he's a great addition, and I think his Gary Mitchell is going to be exemplary."
So far we have speculated that Khan would be the villain of the sequel with cumberbatch as the role, but now urban is kinda pointing towards something else---
However, ofcourse its always possible that urban is just trying to trick the trekkies out there for a big surprise in the flick, but based off of what he is saying....no khan as the villain...but do you believe it?!
For those of you not familiar with all things Star Trek, Gary Mitchell was a character that first appeared in the original series as a Starfleet Academy acquantince of Kirk who is given God-like abilities when exposed to a galactic barrier. Producer Robert Orci has previously denied the appearance of Mitchell as the villain, but it would not be the first time Orci denies something in a film that turns out to be true.
