Construction worker hit a natural gas line while working in a yard on Brydges Street, across from Victoria Park , around 3:10 P.M. this afternoon. Moncton Fire & Enbridge gas were on scene a few minutes later and blocked off the street, keeping everyone back 10 meters, a Firefighter went to a house next door to let people know about the leak, and a woman left with her dog right away. . Another company arrived on scene to help employees from Enbridge get at the line so they could pinch it off. NB Power was notified and needed at the scene just before 4 P.M. as they were needed at the gas leak, before gas leak could be stopped and arrived just after 4 P.M. Firefighters are still on scene and the gas leak is under control at 4:20 P.M.
