    CCM News -- Brooklands. The focus of the attention is the all new Mercedes-Benz Shooting Brake at its world premiere in Brooklands, England.

    The CLS Shooting Brake is an unprecedented version of a sports car that convinces with the well-balanced proportions of a five seater coupe with a hatchback and five doors.

    Mercedes-Benz presents the all new CLS Shooting Brake at the Mercedes-Benz World in Brooklands, one of the oldest race tracks in the world near London. Hatchbacks were particularly popular in the 60s in England, often exclusive two-door sports cars combining the luxury and style with a spacious trunk and the typical rear door.
    In spite of the low roof line the trunk space will hold a load of up to 1500 liters. Optional and unique in the automotive industry is a luggage compartment floor made of American cherry tree wood a giving it a touch of elegance normally found on yachts.
