Third anniversary of Jackson's death, McConaughey and wife hit carpet

Monday (June 25) marks the 3-year anniversary of the death of Michael Jackson. The singer, who died from a lethal overdose of anesthetic, was 50-years old. His untimely death, however, ironically resurrected his career - sending his music back to the top of the charts, inspiring a successful Cirque du Soleil show, and also pushing the popularity of his siblings who have since launched tours of their own.

Matthew McConaughey and Channing Tatum hit the red carpet in Los Angeles for the premiere of "Magic Mike" - which closed the Los Angeles Film Festival. It was the first major public outing for McConaughey and his wife Camila Alves since their wedding two weeks ago. Also making an appearance were stars Alex Pettyfer and Joe Manganiello. The film, which follows the lives of a group of male strippers, hits theaters on June 29.

Billy Ray Cyrus is making his Broadway debut. The country singer - and dad to Miley Cyrus - will star as Billy Flynn in "Chicago" for a limited seven-week engagement beginning November 5.

Finally, Uggie - the star dog of the Oscar-winning film "The Artist" - officially retired from showbiz, but went out with a bang. The talented pup put his paws in cement at the historic Grauman's Chinese Theatre - planting him next to the hand prints of Hollywood's royalty including Marilyn Monroe and Clark Gable.
