Tackling an issue like corruption in the education system is challenging for any filmmaker. It calls for seriousness and sensitivity, neither of which is evident in Chakradhaar.

The story is about Shravan Kumar (Abhishek Anand), a young man of principles who enrols with Benaras University, where he decides to fight a system corrupted by political influences. He takes the help of his principal (Darshan Jariwala) and trustee (Govind Namdev). When Shravan realises that peaceful means of protest (satyagraha) won't work, he ends up becoming a criminal and calls himself Pandit.

The film begins with Shravan narrating his journey from being an upright student to a goon to a journalist (played by Vidya Malavade). Instead of seeking any help from government officials or the police, Shravan sells his medals to buy a katta (gun) and kills all the people involved, from politician (Akhilendra Mishra) to his brothers (Yashpal Sharma, Ganesh Yadav) and his son (Rajesh Shringapure), who is also responsible for the death of his girlfriend (Mrinalini Sharma) and politician (Zakhir Hussian).

The story is far from convincing and Shravan's only one-liner, "Pandit hai hum, dakshina lena bhi jante hai aur shrap dena bhi" irritate you. His character is truncated and confusing. He sometimes speaks pure Hindi and sometimes uses a spot of English but his diction is not up to the mark. And surprise, surprise! There's an item song too! Had the film been handled more appropriately, the movie may have appeared convincing.

Performance-wise, Abhishek Anand, who makes his debut with this film, fails. His acting is not upto the mark. Urvashi Sharma, who plays his love interest, has nothing much to offer. Vidya Malvade as a journalist is average. The only people who impress are Govind Namdev and Darshan Jariwala.
