Many Codiac R.C.M.P. responding to a call at 2505 Mountain Road for a shooting around 2:20 P.M. this afternoon. Police blocked off Mountain Road completely by the Casino and where the Hotels start on the other side of the apartment building where shooting took place. A Officer rushed a woman away from the scene ,while Firefighters and Ambulance staged awaiting the OK from Police to enter the area to get the victim of the shooting. Paramedics and Firefighters rushed inside the building and with in a couple of minutes came out the of building with the Male that had been shot.. Many other R.C.M.P.vehicles arrived on scene and set up a perimeter around the building so they could see every side of the building, that is in between Holiday Inn and Country Inn Hotels and were telling people to stay inside and to stay away from the windows. There were R.C.M.P. every where you could see, Police were going to evacuate the building into the Holiday Inn, but a witness told Police they seen 2 men exiting the building from a stairway. Police Dog was called in and arrived a short time later. Description of the shooter ,skinny male ,short hair, dressed all in black.. Around 3:30 P.M. traffic once again started to flow on Mountain Road, but Police were still blocking people from entering the parking lot at the apartment building where shooting took place.

UPDATE Tuesday April 19th...News 91.9 reported, Codiac RCMP have released new information into a weekend shooting they are currently investigating.

A 19 year-old Moncton man remains in hospital with non life-threatening injuries after a shooting at an apartment building at 2505 Mountain Road shortly after 2pm on Sunday.

There have been no arrests to date.

Police say they have reason to believe that two or three Caucasian men may have been involved, along with a grey crossover-type vehicle.

They say they are pursuing several leads at this time
