Mixed Martial Arts is a full-contact combat sport that incorporates boxing, wrestling, Brazilian ju-jitsu, and others. Due to the nature of this sport, many states regulate MMA fights. It has been illegal to host pro MMA fights in the state of New York since 1997.
But rather than discouraging people from training, the popularity of this sport has generated millions of dollars each year and has inspired many schools such as JKD New York to sprout and blossom in New York.
