Electric car hits streets of Sao Paulo as Taxi

    by PressTV

Sao Paulo is the fourth largest city in the world, with a huge pollution problem created by the 6 million vehicles that go back and forth on its streets. But now the government wants to change that in the years to come. Sao Paulo is the first city in Latin America to have electric cars circulating around town starting this week. These cars will initially be used as taxis and it's part of the environmental project package prepared by the Brazilian government in conjunction with the city of Sao Paulo to mark Brazil commitments to the environment cause before the start of RIO +20 on June 13th.
