To me, the image of a serpent, reptile, or amphibian does not necessarily inspire revulsion, loathing or fear. In some cultures, turtles are considered benevolent and a great turtle the creator of the universe. At this show, I saw serpent imagery on tools and devices used by shamans, and they were wise and protecting in nature.
