Roza Otunbayeva, Kyrgyzstan's interim president, says that up to 2,000 may have been killed in the ethnic violence that recently rocked the country's southern region.

On Friday, she visited the south to see for herself the damage that has been done.

Al Jazeera's Clayton Swisher travelled with her during her visit to the city of Osh.
