Russian authorities have accused groups from the North Caucusus region, where Russia has fought against Chechnya in two wars, of being behind twin blasts at metro stations in Moscow that killed 39 people.

Al Jazeera spoke to Ousman Ferzauli, the foreign minister of the Chechen government in exile, about the attacks and its possible consequences for Chechens.

Ferzauli says there "will be more cruelty by Russian forces in North Caucusus, even though there is no verification that Chechens were responsible for the terrorist action".
