Iraq expats in Jordan ready to vote

One of the biggest stumbling blocks on the road to the election in Iraq was deciding who would be allowed to vote.

After a long fight for their chance to take part, some 100,000 out of an estimated 1.3 million expatriate Iraqis have reportedly registered.

They can cast their ballots in 16 countries on March 5, 6 and 7.

The Iraqi expatriates make up a fifth of the total number of people eligible to take part in the ballot.

Al Jazeera's Nisreen Shamayleh reports from Amman.
