The Thai King turns 82 on Saturday but there is deep concern about his health.

King Bhumibol Adulyadej has only been seen twice in public since he was taken to hospital on September 19, with a fever and lung problems.

Many events to mark his birthday have been cancelled or postponed, meaning this year's celebrations will be a far more sombre affair.
