The deputy chief of Indonesia's anti-corruption body has told Al Jazeera that he is being framed in a police investigation against him.

Chandra Hamzah is facing charges of corruption, but says he is the target of a conspiracy to weaken the anti-graft agency.

His case has drawn sympathy from the Indonesian public who want a total clean up of corruption - a demand that is becoming harder for the government to ignore.

Al Jazeera's Step Vaessen reports from Jakarta in Indonesia.
