Although it is a film shot entirely in Arabic with an all Arab cast, its themes of friendship, sacrifice and forgiveness have resonated with audiences worldwide.

Captain Abu Raed is the first feature film to come out of Jordan in 50 years and marks the fulfillment of a life-long dream for Arab-American writer and director Amin Matalqa.
