Australian police seize drugs worth $1.6 million

In a drug raid on Tuesday, police in Sydney, Australia recovered drugs and cash worth an estimated $1.6 million Australian dollars.

Two people, charged with supplying drugs on a commercial scale, were arrested in the raid.

Police uncovered a store of crystal methyl amphetamine, large quantities of the drug ecstasy, heroin and steroids.

Officers also seized a bag full of cash, a replica pistol, drug-making equipment, laptop computers, mobile phones and documentation.

Both accused were refused bail.
