The remains of a reputed mobster were exhumed from a tomb in Rome on Monday, as part of an investigation into the disappearance of a teenager in 1983.

Emanuela Orlandi was 15 when she vanished after leaving her family's Vatican City apartment. Her father was a lay employee of the Catholic church.

Several boxes of bones were reportedly found in the tomb of Enrico De Pedis.
