Two people have been killed in fighting in the Lebanese city of Tripoli.
The clashes between members of the Alawite minority loyal to Syrian President Bashar Assad and the majority Sunni residents happened on Sunday.
The small Alawite minority in Tripoli, northern Lebanon, follows the same offshoot of Shiite Islam as the Assad dynasty that controls Syria.
