Embassy staff injured in Rome blasts

6 years ago4 views

Italian police have been checking all embassies in Rome after bombs went off at two missions, in what the mayor is calling a ''wave of terrorism''. Parcel bombs were sent to the Swiss and Chilean embassies. Two employees working in the mailroom were injured when the devices went off in their hands. Italy's Interior Minister had said ''anarchists'' may be to blame for the embassy explosions. And there are now reports an Italian anarchist group left a claim of responsibility at the scene of one of the attacks. From Rome, Sabina Castelfranco reports.
