A dumping ground in Kolkatta has been transformed into a park by the the West Bengal Renewable Energy Development Agency (WBREDA). Solar energy provides power for the park and its exhibits.
Built in an area of 1.5 acres at a total cost of 85 lakhs, the the park operates on solar energy. It also has a bio-mass based power generator from which power is provided for its exhibits.
It also has a the tidal power plant, which can generate 50 watts of power and that runs the exhibits. So, we are really producing the power through various renewable energy
