Adam Yauch - a founding member of hip-hop group the Beastie Boys - has died.
The singer had been undergoing treatment for cancer since doctors discovered a tumor in his salivary gland in 2009.
The pioneering group captivated fans with their brash style with hits like "(You Gotta) Fight for Your Right (To Party)" and "No Sleep till Brooklyn."
They were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame earlier this year, though Yauch was unable to attend the ceremony.
