WCC Red Wolf 2 Enclosure
Red wolf F1291 came to the WCC in 2004 as our first red wolf. She has been paired with two males in the past – without producing pups. But as the fourth most genetically valuable red wolf in the Species Survival Program, F1291 is a key player in the recovery of her rare species. We captured her last summer to make sure there was nothing wrong, and were thrilled to find that F1291 was fine. Her new mate, M1394, arrived in December and have been inseparable ever since. Let's hope that third time’s the charm!
