Successive years of poor rains and crop failures in northern Kenya have caused an acute shortage of food.

Al Jazeera's Mohammed Adow travels to the village of Urum, where wild berries are becoming the staple food for peasants.

Women spend hours collecting the fruit, before boiling them in water from a swamp to remove poisons which make the raw berries inedible.
