"Satsui No Vacance 殺意のバカンス" (Vacation of the Murderous Intent) was Minako Honda's debut recording, released as a single April 21, 1985, and in the album, "M'Syndrome M'シンドローム, released November 21, 1985.

This is a rare video, different than her other performances of the song. It was performed at a televised dinner show, and is nearly a minute longer than other versions one might see or hear. I apologize for the annoying buzz in the audio track; the video came with it. Attempts to remove the buzz destroyed the audio so it was best to leave it. Reducing the treble will make a signicant difference..

Thank you so much, Ted-san. I had forgotten that I had this video; it is one of the first I had downloaded. I agree about "the diamond in the rough." Her first notes were so different than J-Pop Idol songs that one had heard. One can imagine that the audience in Japan had a reaction similar to that of an audience in Wien in 1805 when those two discordant notes were heard --- Eroica. Even in her earliest days, Minako was developing what would become one of the greatest voices of our time...michael

The debut song of Minako-san has the wonderful brightness of the diamond in the rough.
