Turkey hosts Iran nuclear talks

World powers and Iran launched a new round of negotiations in Istanbul on Saturday to resolve a long-standing dispute over Tehran's nuclear programme.

The negotiations in Istanbul, the first between Iran and the six powers in 15 months, are unlikely to yield any major breakthrough but Western diplomats hope at last to see readiness from Tehran to start to discuss the pr.

The West and Israel suspects Iran of developing nuclear weapons technology but Tehran says the programme is for power generation and medical use.
