Madrid, 4 April 2012 (EFE).- US actor Anthony Perkins, best known for playing Norman Bates in the 'Psycho' films, would have turned 80 years today if he hadn't died of AIDS on September 1992.

Addicted to drugs and bisexual, Perkins married photographer Berinthia Berenson and have two sons, actor Oz Perkins and musician Elvis Perkins. Berenson defended the memory of his husband until she died on American Airlines flight during the September 11 terrorist attacks in 2001.
