Thousands of students and workers showed up in front of Jakarta's Parliament on Friday to protest against Indonesian’s government's decision to raise fuel price by 30%.

Demonstrators broke into the parliament by pulling down fences and gates and occupied the premises.
Police reacted with launch of tear gas dispersing the protesters who then fought back with launch of rocks creating havoc in the city's business district till late night.
