A poem by peter ruellan
In this leafy orchard is a sparrow
A sparrow whose songs are the sunrise
They take me into the light
To heavenly places, above
and to the place where lovers talk to the gods
Hello wonderful, I say
luminous with solitude, basking in gold,
and to a paradise where Adam and Eve dwell
Thank goodness I'm not Adam or else mankind
would never forgive me for always sinning.
O tiny apple of amazement
O simple beginnings of myself.
I am leaving; I am leaving, my friend.
