With no great masterplan or designs, four good friends and long time musicians came together in the early months of 2011 to write and rehearse some original material. Many late night sessions yielded a dozen or so songs which the band spent Feb/March honing and arranging. Taking their name from an old Neil Young song, the newly christened AMBER JEAN are currently recording an Ep, titled "Shadows and Tall Trees" in Temple Lane Studios,which they hope to have completed late summer 2011. With their debut single "Morning Snow" due for release in July 2011 and already creating a bit of a stir on the net,the band have also just played their first live shows to great response. Their sound is a mixture of pop hooks and heavy riffs laden with soaring harmonies and pounding drums, as can be heard on debut single "Morning Snow" and future release "Daytura Daydream". The future is looking a distinct shade of AMBER.
