An ancient evil rises again... older than the forerunners themselves. Flood Research Facilities on the active installations have found the origin of the centralized flood intelligence that almost took over the galaxy at least 2 times. A fallen precursor that went extragalactic after the firing of the halo array more than 100,000 years ago. And the fallen one is returning, with an improved flood parasite and a stronger desire to avenge the forerunners. But the galaxy will not fall without a fight... humanity, the covenant separatists, and the revived forerunners unite against a common enemy on all fronts. Time will only tell...
