Designer Vikram Phadnis Friday showcased his ethnic collection keeping the Indian and earthy attires in mind at the Lakme Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2012 show. Sisters Malaika Arora Khan and Amrita Arora walked the ramp adding glamour to the show.

While Amrita was wearing a beige golden elegant traditional attire with a draped chunni, Malaika wore a black velvet long -sleeved blouse pairing it with a creamy lehenga, giving her a typical Anarkali look.

Bollywood celebrities like Karismha Kapur, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Neha Dhupia, Sonakshi Sinha, Arbaaz Khan, Sangeeta Bijlani among others were also present to cheer up Phadnis and the sisters Malaika and Amrita.

Designer James Ferreira's runway collection named 'Save The Air' brought about pollution and environmental issues as the point of question on the ramp at Day One of Lakme Fashion Week Summer Resort 2012.

One saw wearable designs that highlighted the androgynous look of the modern woman. The stylish creations of this designer, who still loves cutting his patterns all by himself, brought about Indian dyeing techniques of tie and dye and bandhni on the runway. The ensemble was made up of skirts, tops, swirling maxis, lean sheaths, blouses, jumpsuits, and stunning gowns for women and shirts, kurtas, churidars and trousers for men.
