With his favorite quote being from U2's Bono - "You do the show, you do the business, I guess this is 'Show Business' " - Patrick Fleming is a singer/songwriter who is about entertainment. Drawing from a wealth of musical styles, from Modern/Alternative/Pop Rock to Americana/Alt. Country, Patrick sends his listener on a journey to unexpected places. Concentrating on making both the lyrics and the music create the mood, he blazed his own path in his formative musical years over 20 years ago. He has since honed his songwriting craft to a level of professionalism that the music industry would expect from even the most successful singer/songwriters. Adding to that, his years of experience as a cover artist have allowed him to intimately understand the art of songwriting for the masses, while still retaining his own individual musical style.
Over the past ten years, Patrick has released three independent CD's. His music has been heard all over the world by being featured on Accu-Stats Video Production sports videos that have sold over 300,000 copies worldwide, as well as music for commercials aired on ESPN and ESPN2. Also, with features in various New Jersey music magazines, two appearances on News 12 New Jersey's "Jersey's Talking" and an appearance on the Brooklyn Community Access Television show "Welcome Aboard", over 4 million people have had the chance to experience Patrick and his music more personally.
During his time in New Jersey, Patrick has played many venues in the NYC area, including The Bitter End, The Sidewalk Café, Kenny's Castaways and Piano's, as well as The Virgin Megastore in Union Square. He's also played at Maxwell's in Hoboken, NJ, one of NJ's premier touring clubs. He played at many music conferences across the country, including GEMS (NYC), Dewey Beach Music Conference (Dewey Beach, DE), The Millennium Music Conference (Harrisburg, PA), and the Nashville New Music Conference (Nashville, TN).
After 8 years of playing the local NJ music scene, Patrick made the big jump from Hoboken, NJ to Austin, TX in March of 2004. Since arriving in Austin, he has appeared on K-EYE Channel 5's Weekend Jam Band Showcase. He has also been featured on Texas Music Magazine's "TexMix 2005" compilation CD showcasing Texas musicians, which was included in their Winter 2005 issue, reaching over 30,000 people. He also recorded the music for and appeared in two regional commercials for the Austin based Mazda South Mazda dealership which reached well over 8 million people.
In addition to playing covers and originals, Patrick is also the founder and lead singer of Mysterious Ways -- America's U2 Tribute Band -- voted Best Cover Band in Austin for the 2009-2010 Austin Chronicle Music Poll. Over the past 6 years, Patrick has taken to task bringing the U2 concert experience to smaller venues across the states including Woodstock Plaza in Monterey, MX, Club 101 in El Paso, TX and House Of Blues in both Houston and Dallas.
