Deadly attacks hit Pakistan's Karachi
A series of deadly gun attacks hit Pakistan's southern city of Karachi.
At least six people were killed in separate incidents across the city.
The wife, daughter and driver of a Baluchistan lawmaker were shot dead on their way home early Tuesday.
A few hours earlier, three people were killed in other parts of Karachi.
A city of more than 18 million, Karachi has a long history of violence - and ethnic and religious disputes, as well as political rows - can often explode into battles engulfing entire neighbourhoods.
Last year alone more than 1,600 people were killed in either political and sectarian violence, or by drug dealers, 'mafia' hitmen and extortionists.
