Animated Ben Gurion draws crowds

The animators of the internationally acclaimed Israeli film Waltz with Bashir have created a 12 minute animated film of the life of Israel's first prime minister David Ben Gurion. Called "Ben Gurion Hosting," the film covers all the major milestones of Ben Gurion's life, from his childhood in Russia, his aliya to Israel the role he played in building the State of Israel and his home in Sde Boker. Iri Kassel, associate director of the Ben Gurion Heritage Institute said funding was received from the Jewish community in Ottawa. The Institute chose 900m Productions based in Mitzpe Ramon not only because of their talent but also because they live in the Negev and are living Ben Gurion's vision Kassel said. Israeli actor Tuviya Tsafrir plays Ben Gurion's voice in the film which is screened for visitors at Ben Gurion's Sde Boker home.
